all staff were extremely helpful and friendly from reception to restaurant. the rooms were spacious and clean but a little basic. breakfast was really good quality and staff were very attentive , it added to the special feeling of the hotel. Location was great , opposite the tram and underground stations and only 10 minutes walk into the city shopping and nitelife areas

Vi benyttede hotellet til overnatning i forbindelse med en videre rejse. Hotellet ligger perfekt til en tur til Rhinen om aftenen.

Todella rauhallinen hotelli, tuntui ettei muita ollutkaan koko hotellissa. Perhehuone mahtavan kokoinen. Aamiainen aivan erinomainen!! Hyvin avulias ja kohtelias henkilökunta. Sijainti hyvä, kävelyetäisyys vanhasta kaupungista ja metroasema vastapäätä hotellia. Suosittelen ehdottomasti!

Great assistance with city details
We arrived in Dusseldorf at 6am and at Excelsior at 8am with a check in time in the afternoon. Although the hotel was full they allowed us to shower and change in a vacated room so we could conduct business this day. We got some excellent advice about dining in Dusseldorf.

A good hotel with excellent, friendly and helpful staff. Very close and in walking distance of the Old Town and shops. Would strongly recommend this hotel and will definitely stop there on our next visit to Dusseldorf.

Comfortable, warm in winter, close to city centre, staff very helpful, plenty of places to eat locally.Old fashioned but being refurbished
